Third Annual SPEAK-OUT! Exhibition
March 5-30, 2007

Speak-Out! is a juried exhibition of art by college students in the Central New York State area.  The expression of political and social concerns is the theme of the exhibition, which will be held in the Utica Central Library. The work will be open for viewing on March 5th, 2007 and will be available for viewing during regular library hours until March 30th, 2007. A public reception will be held on Tuesday, March 6th, 2007 from 4:00pm to 6:30pm.

This exhibition was conceived of, organized and supported by CoAct, a collaborative group of artists and academics from the Central New York region. Students at Pratt MWP worked with CoAct to organize this project. The colleges contributing to this exhibit include Pratt MWP, Syracuse University, Mohawk Valley Community College and Cazenovia College. The mission of the exhibition is to create a venue where college art students can put their creative energies to use by exercising their first amendment rights. CoAct hopes to encourage political and social awareness in our community and beyond.
